Happily Ever After!

Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.

Let the beauty of what you love be what you do. Well, I have, now celebrating in March, 10-years in the fitness “business” as a Personal Trainer and Instructor. Over the years, have taught a variety of classes, such as Interval's, Bootcamp, Cycle, Core/Balance and Strength.  Not that I am playing favorites here, but Strength/Sculpt Classes is what I enjoy the most!  Eventually expanding to Registered Yoga Teacher and now currently working towards an Exercise Cancer Trainer Certification (only six people currently certified in CT, I hope to the be the seventh!).

Waking up to what you love to do is exhilarating! I only wish I followed this advice long ago, but like fine wine, we do get better (smarter) as we age.

The path that led me to my passion happened by accident, never planned, basically just wanted to get healthy and the rest is history. Living in the corporate world for so many years, did have advantages. I now appreciate the wide array of skills acquired, which were easily transferable into the fitness world. Many of these skills helped to shape my 10-year fitness career.

Fortunately, my fitness career was off to a phenomenal start, “training” with quality trainers and instructors at an expectational high standard facility (in Chicago) that truly cared about their clientele. The environment fostered an atmosphere that drew clients to personal trainers, members to fitness classes and the motivation to deliver the best training and classes you could possibility deliver! No warm bodies required!

I learned early on the essential organic ingredients that formulated a recipe for success. You have to strive to deliver the best possible training/classes, you need a strong desire to be in a service business, you need drive and ambition, you want to genuinely help people, you need the determination to set yourself apart from the rest. You need to know how to motivate people, you need to have the passion and yearning for people to want to come and train and/or take classes with you. You need the hunger and thirst to always want to learn more, stay educated and current, most importantly, you need to walk the talk.

Please join me in celebrating on Saturday, March 3rd.  Admission required: 15 push up's will get you in the door, 20 push up's will get you a free class, 25 push up's will get you a free t-shirt! Seriously, no pressure, just come as you are and enjoy one or stay for two creative classes!

As always, classes are about you, your voice is needed. Please cast your vote and choose your favorite yoga and fitness classes. Yoga class will be held at 8:30-9:30am and the fitness class held at 9:45-10:30am.
