Fat-Free Yoga

Still time to meet your news years resolution (2011). Looking for weight loss, health and being stress-free this holiday season? Check out Fat-Free Yoga Flows, could be just what you need!

Soon we will be ringing in another new year. A new year filled with fresh possibilities of new beginnings, goals and chapters in our lives. Before we ring out this year, there is still time for you to revisit your previous years’ resolution.  If one of them was to get healthy and lose weight, today is your lucky day!

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 30th, Core Power has teamed up with Rocky Hill Parks and Recreation for a special offering of Fat-Free Yoga Flows. This all-levels class will open your mind and heart to new opportunities as you flow from one pose to the other inviting your core to strengthen, your balance to improve and increase your flexibility and range of motion. Fat-Free Yoga will provide your body with sculpted muscles, your mind will be more mindful, which means if you are looking for weight loss, that will happen and your spirit will be renewed. 

Class begins with a brief meditation, who can’t use that nowadays, especially this time of the year!  Breathing is also included, no extra charge. If you think you breathe now, experience what you’ve really been missing. You won’t believe the results, just too many to mention in this blog.  Meditation is followed by a warm-up to let the muscles know they will be called upon for assistance. Your spine will awaken and you will appear younger as your spine becomes more flexible. After warm-up, a series of Sun Salutations will be used to get your heart pumping. If you like cardio, you will LOVE Sun Salutations. A series of flows will take up most of the class integrated with core and balance moves! A cool-down rounds out the class with longer holding poses to fully stretch the muscles along with several minutes of rest which is called savasana. This truly is where the magic happens, not just in Disney but in yoga too! Oh, by the way, each week is different, no routines, no pre-canned workouts, just plain and simple (but creative) Fat-Free Yoga flows that will leave people wondering what you’ve been doing!

So get ready, allow yourself one-hour a week and permission to change your workout so you can change your mind, body and spirit this holiday season. You deserve it!  

Class starts Wednesday, Nov. 30 6:15 p.m. (sharp)-7:15 p.m., please bring a sticky mat, water bottle and light blanket. Participants must be able to get up and down from the floor. Class runs each Wednesday until 12/28, introductory (post Black Friday) bargain at $30.00.
