From the opening of a favorite local Connecticut eatery to adult ballet classes, there is much happening this weekend in Rocky Hill

What's the weather?

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Saturday night will have mostly cloudy skies, with a low around 60, and feature patchy fog after 5 a.m. 

On Sunday, there will be a slight chance of showers after 1 p.m. The fog will continue until 8 a.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 79. The chance of precipitation during the day is 20%. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 61 and patchy fog returning after 2 a.m. and lasting until 9.a.m.

Labor Day will feature partly sunny skies with a high near 80.

will offer a free weight and body composition analysis Saturday, including a measurement of body fat, muscle, and water percentages. The services will be conducted by MedTeam's bariatric physicians, nurse practitioners, and dieticians. Participants will be able to discuss their weight loss goals with a consultant and evaluate whether MedTeam's methods would be beneficial to them, but are under no obligation to sign up for additional programs. The MedTeam Weight Loss facility is located at 1084 Cromwell Avenue.

Adult and Children's Ballet Classes

Are you a fan of Swan Lake or The Nutcracker? Have you ever wanted to attempt the highly disciplined and athletically rigorous mode of dance, ballet? On Saturdays, offers both adult's and children's classes in the art form. The adults' class begins at 10 a.m., and the childrens' group starts at 12:00 p.m. Both classes last an hour and cost $10. The club's address is 38 New Britain Avenue. 

New Stone & Paddle open on New Britain Avenue

A new Stone and Paddle restaurant has opened in the site once occupied by the recently-closed . This is the third Stone and Paddle restaurant to appear in CT, joining those already in Vernon-Rockville and Manchester. Fans of Stone and Paddle will recognize all of its signature dishes but, for a limited time, will be able to avoid the constant crowds that are customary at the other two locations, since the new location hasn't advertised or held its grand opening yet. The new Stone and Paddle can be found at 154 New Britain Ave.

Package Stores Open on Labor Day

For the first time since , permitting Sunday sales, package stores will be able to sell on holidays, including Labor Day. Stores that do open on the holiday will be open until their usual closing times of 8 or 9 p.m.
