Vacation Science Camp

Have an Awesome Time at The New Children's Museum Vacation Science Camp!

Join us for action-packed days of scientific investigation, museum exploration, amazing planetarium shows, and up close encounters with live animals!

Children in grades 1 - 6 meet in the museum for the following exciting all-day (9 am - 4 pm) workshops

Monday, Feb. 17   Rollercoaster Madness  Did you know that physics tells us why rollercoasters work?  Come on over and learn how while you construct your own coaster!  You'll send a marble on a bumpy ride!

Tuesday, Feb. 18    Tinkering Tuesday Tinker with hands -on activities featuring magnets, electricity, simple machines, lasers and much more!

Wednesday, Feb. 19  Food Chemistry  Food can teach us a lot about science, and it's oh so fun to play with!  Use food to perform chemistry experiments.

Thursday, Feb. 20  Leapin' Lizards  Explore our new exhibit, The Lizard Lair, and get up close and personal with many of our exciting reptile friends.

Friday, Feb 21  Science Olympics  Choose a country to represent and put your science skills and senses to the test!  We will engage in fun science-related challenges throughout the day. Let the games begin!!

Cost: $60/day for members,  $70/day for non-members.

Children in Grades Preschool - Kindergarten will have fun at our preschool!
This 1/2 day program runs from 9 am - 12 pm.  Come explore Animals of the Arctic!  Brrrrrr....

Cost: $35/per day for members,  $40/day for non-members.

Please note, all children in grades 1 - 6 must provide proof of a physical exam in the last 3 years.  Preschool - Kindergarten must provide proof of a physical within one year of the start of camp.
