Co-Owner of The Cage, Patrick Precourt, is setting the
precedent that his gym believes in being an active community partner. This is
showcased by the launch in Oct of 2013 of “The Cage Gives”, a branch of the
Cage that supports our community.  “The
Cage Lifestyle” and culture that Patrick is creating embraces the idea that
personal success comes from a well-rounded balance in life, including a
healthy lifestyle, a humble gratitude and giving back.   The Cage stands
for Commitment, Attitude, Gratitude and Evolution.  “You don’t come to The
Cage just to work on your body. You come to work on becoming the best you.
Staying fit and healthy is one step towards achieving your ultimate outcome,
the highest level of self-satisfaction- to become actually what you are
potentially. The more fit you are physically, the more fit you are mentally the
more productive you are in your life, the greater impact you will have. The
Cage represents a life time commitment to fitness with the heart and culture of
mixed martial arts. Our continued partnership with BBBS is a perfect match. Our
youth are our future and The Cage represents the perfect culture for our
leaders of tomorrow.”

During the Open House as well as the evening anniversary
festivities, Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters will be on hand with information
about their mentoring programs and how current and new members can get involved
through the gym.

 Andy
Fleischmann, President of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, said, “On the one
year anniversary of its opening, we congratulate The Cage for its great growth
and success over the past twelve months. Their enthusiasm and generosity in
support of children in need is simply remarkable. Thanks to The Cage’s much-appreciated
Grand Opening gift to Nutmeg in 2013, we were able to move many area children
off our waiting list and into life-changing matches with inspirational adult
mentors. And we’re thrilled and honored to have been selected this year as the
beneficiary of The Cage’s January 25th First Anniversary Celebration. Thanks to
The Cage’s generosity, even more children in need will have the opportunity to
beat the odds and fulfill their great potential.”

The Cage Open House will be free to the public to come and
view class demonstrations, attend health related seminars, meet the trainers
and tour the gym from 8:30am-3:30pm.  The
First Anniversary Celebration from 7:00 pm-11:00 pm, will feature food from
local area restaurants - Asian Bistro, DaVinci Pizza and Pazzos.  There will also be an open bar with a ‘CAGE
Cocktail’ supplied by Onyx Moonshine and live music from The PJ Project to keep
the crowd moving. Generous raffle donations from Fortune Builders as well as
many local businesses will be raffled off that evening.  Tickets will be sold for $35pp and $60 per
couple to benefit Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters.
