RHHS Royal Blues Marching Band Hosts 15th Annual Home Show.

The RHHS Royal Blues Marching Band start their season by going into battle as they perform: “The Colosseum”.

The RHHS Royal Blues Marching Band will host their 15th annual Home Show on Saturday, September 28th, at McVicar Field. The 2013 Invitational is titled “The Colosseum” featuring music from the films "Gladiator" by Hans Zimmer, and "Ben Hur" by Miklos Rozsa

The Royal Blues Marching Band is under the direction of James Shuman. There are 9 High School bands scheduled to take the field in competition. The gates will open at 3:00 p.m. with kickoff and the national Anthem at 3:45 p.m. The first band will take the field at 4:00 p.m. General admission is $10 and $5 for senior citizens and students.

The Royal Blues Marching Band is led by Drum Major; Peter Kohanski. The bands' Section Leaders are: Amanda Coler, brass; George Enriquez, percussion; Emily Kovanda, color guard; Sally Kurdziel, woodwinds and Band Captains are Jp Colasacco, Larissa Denisky and Emily Pentland. This years Principal Players are Jackie Aylward, Steven Kolakowski & James Rolfe.

Members of the Class of 2014 are: Tracey Allegretti, Eric Carlson, Kelly Clark, Kerry Clark, Jp Colasacco, Amanda Coler, Larissa Denisky, Peter Kohanski, Steven Kolakowski, Emily Kovanda & Sally Kurdziel 

The Royal Blues will also perform their show “The Colosseum” in competition on October 5th at Lyman Hall High School’s Home Show, October 12th at Cheshire High School’s Home Show and October 19th at Rockville High School’s Home Show. In addition to these performances the Royal Blues will also compete at the USBands New England State Championship in Bridgeport, CT on October 26th.
