Popular fast-casual burrito joint opens to public on April 17 at 11:00 a.m.

Newington, CT (April 15, 2014) – 

“Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard in Newington when Moe’s Southwest Grill opens at 3145 Berlin

Turnpike on April 17th, 2014. Mayor Stephen Woods, and owners Craig Shamlian and Bruce Steminski will

be in attendance at the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that will be

taking place at 11 am. The Grand Opening celebration continues from 4-6 pm with

prizes, giveaways and an enter-to-win contest for Free

Burritos for a year!

Newington will

mark the 18th location of Moe’s Southwest Grill in Connecticut. To

celebrate the opening of its’ 18th Connecticut location, the popular

chain will be donating $2,500 to a local school via an online voting contest (www.moesgrandopening.com). Ranked #1 Mexican food concept by Technomic in

2013, Atlanta based Moe’s Southwest Grill, serves freshly made-to-order

burritos and southwest fare in a fun and laid back environment.

When you walk by Newington’s newest burrito joint

the first thing you’ll hear is a familiar “Welcome to Moe’s!” It’s more than a

greeting; it’s a way of life for the folks who customize each meal fresh to

order right in front of the guest. The restaurant will be replacing the old

Mortensen’s Ice Cream location,  however, the new Mortensen’s Ice Cream building will be right

next door, so patrons can enjoy their Moe’s favorites and ice cream in one

stop! 

This location will offer a Moe Monday special which includes any

burrito, chips, salsa and a drink for only $6.99, as well as a Kids Eat Free

Day on Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult entrée. Moe’s in Newington

will be open from Monday through Sunday from 11am to 10pm. For more information
