18th-Century Horsemanship & Attack by Red Coats at Revolutionary War Encampment at Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum

18th-century horsemanship with sword and pistol
will be demonstrated during the sixth annual Revolutionary War
Encampment at the Webb-Deane-Steven Museum. The interactive event will also
feature the Fifth Connecticut Regiment in period clothing, with fascinating
demonstrations of musket firing, 18th-century open-fire cookery, medicine, fashions,
and music. Children can perform drills with wooden “muskets” prior to an
“attack” by the British at 1 p.m.

Encampment
admission free; admission for optional museum tour
