Town's Recreation Supervisor Wins Award

The Young Professional R. Peter Ledger Award was given to Chris S. Rusack in November.

Chris S. Rusack received the Young Professional R. Peter Ledger Award at the Connecticut Recreation Parks Association Annual Conference on Nov. 21.

Rusack, who is a certified park and recreation professional, has been the recreation supervisor in Rocky Hill for eight years and previously worked for the YMCA as a Program Director.

Rocky Hill Parks and Recreation Director Lisa M. Zerio nominated Rusack for the award.

Nominees for the Young Professional R. Peter Ledger Award must be a member of CRPA who have served 10 years or less and are deserving of recognition for achievements and accomplishments in the parks and recreation profession, according to their website.
