Tornado Watch, Flood Advisory Issued for Rocky Hill

Friday's storms are predicted to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the area.

 

The National Weather Service has issued both a Tornado Watch and a Flood Advisory for the Rocky Hill area Friday afternoon. 

Friday's storms are expected to bring gusty winds and heavy rain to the area, according to the National Weather Service, including the possibility of thunderstorms. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation, with rainfall amounts between a 10th to a quarter of an inch, although the thunderstorms could lead to higher amounts of rain and flash flooding.

The tornado watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
