Residents Stop By Community Center

Families wonder when the power will come back on.

Needing a breath of fresh air, families stopped by the Community Center Sunday afternoon.

Karen Massey from Washington D.C. was visiting her sister, Anita, when the storm hit. Karen is hoping to get back home tomorrow.

"I was stressed," she said. "I couldn't sleep."

Anita Massey is lucky. She said that there has been no damage to the house and her basement is dry. However, boredom is setting in.

"We needed to get out," she said. They have passed the hours by playing board games, listening to music and talking, lots of talking.

Larry and Darlene Seidman were in search of a hot cup of coffee when they stopped by the Community Center.

The Seidmans helped stop a motorist from driving into a power line on Washington Street.

"He had kayaks on the roof of his car," Darlene Seidman said. "We just stopped him."
