Power has been Restored to Some Residents in Town

Emergency shelters at State Veterans Home and Community Center will remain open tonight and Tuesday.

The residents in Catherine Drive to Trinity Ridge area will be the first people in town to have power restored.

Connecticut Light and Power will restore power in the following order.

  1. Catherine Drive to Trinity Ridge Area
  2. Silas Deane Highway East
  3. Century Hills
  4. Brook Street (from north to west.)
  5. Elm Street to Cromwell Avenue
  6. Rest of the town

The Silas Deane Highway East was chosen to be repaired second because two fire stations, several businesses and gas stations are located in this area.

There are still 9,745 Connecticut Light and Power customers without power, according to the CL&P website.
