On July 7, Rocky Hill Patch set up a tent in the plaza on New Britain Avenue where and are located. The event was an opportunity for Patch to work with businesses along the Route 3 corridor to offer residents savings while educating them about their local source for news and events.

Everyone who visited the Patch tent received a goodie bag and about 200 of them were given out.

The following stores participated in the event:

"It was a great day to shop, eat, and support Rocky Hill local businesses," said Advertising Manager previously about the event. "We were able to talk to the great people of the town of Rocky Hill. Thank you to everyone for coming and supporting us. Please support the local businesses who took part."

Luczak originally planned to use the gift card for her child's wedding. However, the wedding is out of the state and she figured the holidays would be a great time to give people flowers.

"I plan to give it to someone special who needs it," she said.
