Meadow Road is Open After Flooding

Ferry Park and the Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry are still closed.

Meadow Road,  because of flooding on the roadway caused by Hurricane Irene, was opened Saturday morning to through traffic.

However, the docks at are still closed because the Connecticut River continues to rise. The river is expected to crest sometime Thursday, according to town officials. 

 is also closed and the parking lot is covered in mud after the park was flooded by water from the Connecticut River.

The  is closed until further notice, according to Department of Transportation officials. The oldest continuously running ferry . DOT workers were cleaning the ferry Tuesday morning.
