The will host informational Radon displays at local libraries during the month of January.
Displays will be held at the following locations:
- on Jan. 18 from 12 to 2 p.m.
- Lucy Robbins Welles Library in Newington on Jan. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.
- Wethersfield Library on January 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Information, free radon test kits, and other items will be available at each of the events.
"Long-term exposure to high levels of radon can lead to lung cancer," said Health Educator Lori DiPietro. "The only way to know if a home has excessive radon is to test, which is inexpensive and easy to do."
