Library Hosting Book Sale This Weekend

The semi-annual book sale will offer patrons 'great bargains' and help support library programs.

The Friends of the Cora J. Belden Library book sale will be held Saturday and Sunday with all the proceeds going to support library programing.

“Find great bargains that will see you through the cold days ahead, or do some early holiday shopping for others,” said Cora J. Belden Library Director Mary Hogan.

The book sale will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. However, members of the Friends of the Cora J. Belden Library advocacy group will be allowed to enter the book sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

There will be fiction, nonfiction, children's books, DVDs and other items available for purchase. On Saturday, most of the books will cost $1 and on Sunday, patrtons will be able to fill a bag for $5.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Friends of the Cora J. Belden Library group, can signup on Saturday.

Construction continues on the front steps and handicap ramp of the library. Please call 860-258-7621 to make alternative accommodations.

Patrons should expect lines Saturday morning. The book sale will be held again in the spring.
