Larry and Darlene Siedman stop the Community Center for a cup of coffee. They have been without power since 8:30 a.m. They saved a motorist who almost rode into a power line on Washington Street. 

11:31 a.m. 

The town highway crews will work through the night clearing debris from the roads, They will rest in the morning and then return to work on Monday, according to Barbara Gilbert. 

11:30 a.m. 

There are 5961 or 61% of CL&P customers without power in Rocky Hill. 

11:20 a.m. 

The Dunkin Donuts on the Silas Deane Highway is open. Residents are being advised to stay off the roads. 

11:10 a.m.

A traffic light is down on Silas Deane Highway. No major road closures, according to Town Manager Barbara Gilbert. 

11:05 a.m. 

"It seems if it is tapering off," Town Manager Barbara Gilbert. The winds never exceed 35 m.p.h. and 4.7 inches of rain have fallen in Rocky Hill, according to National Weather Service. 

11 a.m. 

Tree hit homes on Sunset Ridge and Grimes, no reported injuries, building officials have been to the scene.  

10:30 a.m.

Stop and Shop on Town Line Road is open. They cannot sell refrigerated items, only the self checkout lanes are being operated and the customer service desk is closed. A security guard is outside to help customers

10:05 a.m. 

There are 7250 or 68% customers are without power, according to CL&P.

9:30 a.m. 

According to reports, people around Stevens School still have power. 

9:15 a.m.

Rocky Hill Patch was notified that there is no power on Forest Street. 

8:30 a.m

Rocky Hill Patch is now at the Community Center - There are no people here.

8:15 a.m.

"Our biggest problem is downed tree branches," Town Manager Barbara Gilbert. She advised people to stay off the roads. 

8:05 a.m.

According to CL&P, there are 5703 customers or 58% in Rocky Hill without power

7:40 a.m. 

No reported injures in town, according to Rocky Hill Police

7:30 a.m. 

There are tree branches or downed power lines on Walnut St., Cromwell Ave., Candle Lite Drive and Dividend Rd.

7:05 a.m.

There are over 5,000 Cl&P or 53 % customers without power in Rocky Hill.

Around 6:00 a.m. 

The Community Center lost power for less than a minute, according to the head janitor. He added that there are a lot of branches down and possibly some road flooding.
