Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Rocky Hill Friday Afternoon

Thunderstorms are expected to roll into the area around 3 p.m. today.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Rocky Hill area beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, when flash thunderstorms and scattered showers are expected to roll into the area. 

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until at least 9 p.m. in every county in Connecticut.

There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation this afternoon with winds around seven miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. 

The risk of showers and thunderstorms rises to about 60 percent Friday evening, mainly between 10 p.m. and midnight. Those storms are expected to produce gusty winds, heavy rain and lighting, according to the National Weather Service.
