Town officials have asked parents to wait one more night before taking their children out trick-or-treating.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy suggested earlier in the week that towns postpone Halloween until Friday. However, Rocky Hill officials feel the roads in town are not safe enough for trick-or-treating and have asked residents to wait until Saturday between 4 and 7 p.m.
The town is also asking parents to not allow their children to go trick-or-treating without adult supervision. Officials worry about children hurting themselves on the large piles of brush on the side of the road.
