A Rocky Hill energy firm is one step closer to leaving town after Glastonbury officials approved the sale of a new headquarters in that town.

Titan Energy is set to purchase the former school board office on Williams Street in Glastonbury for $600,000, according to Glastonbury Town Manager Richard Johnson.

"It was a very reasonable price and well done negotiations," Glastonbury Councilman Whit C. Osgood said.

The building first went on the market in May 2011 for $875,000. It has sat empty since that time. The building was once headquarters of the J.B. Williams Co., which made products like Skol and Lectric Shave.

The company will use the Glastonbury building as their home offices, relocating from their current address in Rocky Hill. Titan Energy plans to sell additional space in the building for other business offices.

Titan Energy works with clients to find the lowest natural gas and electricity prices, according to their website.
