Gift Cards for Seniors

Seniors who are in need of fresh fruit and vegetables can stop by Human Services and pickup a free gift card to two local farmers' markets. 

Human Services is providing needy seniors with $15 gift cards to the farmers market in Cromwell and Wethersfield. 

For a senior to be eligible for a gift card, a one person household must have an income lower than $20,147 and $27,214 for a two person household. Applicants must be over the age of 60. 

Disabled residents who live in the housing authority and meet the income requirements also qualify. 

Applicants must schedule a brief appointment to receive the gift card. To setup an appointment, call 860-258-2799.

The Wethersfield Farmers Market is held every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m., Rain or shine, at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, at 200 Main St. The Cromwell Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at 52 Missionary Rd.
