Weather

Today is Monday, April 30. The National Weather Service predicts that there will be areas of frost before 7 a.m. However, Monday is expected to be sunny with a high near 64 and little wind. Showers are likely Monday night.

Stay Accredited Meeting

The political action committee "" will hold a meeting in the Council Chambers at at 7 p.m.

The committee's mission is to garner enough support from residents to pass any referendum question that keeps the high school accredited and addresses the 

Stay Accredited group had a booth at Rocky Hill Little League's opening day.

Recycling

Collection for recycling begins today and continues for the rest of the week, according to Park and Recreation Department email.

The hours are Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Softball Team Rolling

The Rocky Hill High School girls' softball team defeated 8-1 on Wednesday, defeated Hartford Public 24-0 on Thursday and 2-0 on Friday. The Terriers will play undefeated at under the lights at 7 p.m.

In the victory over Fermi, the Terriers jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the first inning and would not relinquish it. The game was ended after six innings, due to rain.

Emily Thompson was 3-for-4 on the day and Katie Slavin was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored.  

On the mound, Meg Ruonavaara stuck out 10 and walked zero.

In the victory over Hartford Public, Katie Slavin recorded 10 strikeouts and missed a perfect game by one batter.

Erika Leonard went 5-for-5 with 2 doubles and a triple. Katie Seaver had 5 RBIs in the game.

Chamber Board Member Needed

The currently has an opening on its Board of Directors, according to email from organization.
