The will host a car wash fundraiser on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the , located at 623 Cromwell Ave.

The money raised will help fund the boys and girls soccer teams.

for the soccer booster clubs.

Senior Community Facility Offers Answers to Elder Law

The is hosting a " next week, according to staff member .

Tammy LeFoll, who is a partner of the LeFoll & LeFoll Law Firm, will be leading the discussion.

"Tammy will help find the solution to your problems. Tammy and her associates are knowledgeable and caring, and pride themselves on familiarizing themselves with their clients to give them the best information possible," DaCorte said. "They can also prove counsel and information on non-legal services, such as finding appropriate caregivers and community resources."

The discussion will be on Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. at The Lodge at Cold Spring.

Dinosaur Discovery Celebration Needs Volunteers

for the annual this weekend. 

Anyone who is interested in volunteering at the event is asked to call 860-529-5816 or visit the park's website for more information.

The event, which will occur rain or shine, is the 46th anniversary of the discovery of 2,000 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints and will be on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at . The following activities will be featured at the event:

  • Live animal demonstrations by Massachusetts Birds of Prey and Leapin’ Lizards presented by Beardsley Zoo
  • Games with prizes
  • Face painting
  • Musical entertainment
  • Costumed characters
  • Mining for gems or fossils 
  • Outdoor track casting area
  • Guided nature walks

Nutmeg Book Discussion Set For September at Cora Belden Library

Childrens Librarian, Cathy Potter, will discuss the Nutmeg Book Nominee “Because of Mr. Terupt” by Rob Buyea on Sept. 17 from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.

Children from grades third to fifth are invited to pariticipate in the event.

"Enjoy a lively discussion and fun activities related to the book," said Assistant Director Carole Fisher.
