Gathering Place

The  will hold its monthly meeting at the from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Friday.

Local business owners and Chamber of Commerce members gather the third Friday of every month at a local business to network, eat breakfast and discuss topics affecting small businesses.

Refreshments will be provided by the Connecticut Association Of Foster & Adoptive Parents.

Zumba

The Park and Recreation Department is offering Zumba classes every Friday afternoon starting May 25. 

Zumba is an "aerobic workout with a Latin dance twist," which is designed for all fitness levels, accoridng to the release. Anna Witkowski will be teaching the course.

People are asked to wear fitness clothes and bring a bottle of water.

The class will be held in the dance room from 6 to 7 p.m. on Fridays and will be offered from May 25 to June 29. The price of the six classes is for $25 or people can buy $5 drop in fee.

Stay Accredited Lawn Signs

The Stay Accredited is currently “sold out” of lawn signs, but the organization is taking currently taking orders.

The committee's mission is to garner enough support from residents to pass any referendum question that keeps the high school accredited and addresses the 

Chairman Todd Cusano said in an email Monday that everyone who was promised a sign will get it and he is currently looking for stakes to hang them.

People are asked to email bethers@cox.net if they are interested in a sign.

Free Dental Care For Seniors

The is offering two free dental cleaning clinics today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at .

This program is only limited to five per day and anyone interested in the clinic is asked to contact Hilary Norcia at 860-665-8571.
