Republican Primary

are eligible to vote in the presidential primary today.

Here is a list of the polling places, which are located in the gymnasiums of the following buildings.

  • District #1 -  - 95 Cronin Drive
  • District #2 -  - 761 Old Main Street 
  • District #3 -  - 144 Bailey Road

All polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

High School Referendum

The Rocky Hill Democratic Town Committee voted unanimously Thursday evening to support the that is scheduled for June 5.

Former  made the motion and identified the following areas as needing updating and modernization.

  • Additional classrooms for science, math, and modern languages to meet revised state-mandated graduation requirements
  • Improved air circulation to combat current health hazards
  • Expanded handicapped access to meet the requirements of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Moving third-floor locker rooms to a location near the first-floor gymnasium
  • Additional storage space to end safety hazards.

Pig in Blanket Day

Today is national Pig in a Blanket Day, which "encourages the consumption of ‘pigs in blankets’ – small pork sausages (or chipolatas) wrapped in bacon or pastry, and cooked until crispy," according to daysoftheyear.com
