Rain and Free Admission Bring People to Dinosaur State Park

Mother of nature and price of tickets helped get people to the on Connecticut Open House Day.

The Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism sponsors the annual open house day, which allowed people to visit 12 state park museums and historic sites at no cost.

"It is free admission and it's raining outside," Karen Ober of Tolland explained why she and her son, Patrick, came to the state park. Patrick, 5, has been learning about dinosaurs in school and Karen figured the Dinosaur State Park was best for him to learn more about the prehistoric creatures.
