Dinosaur State Park Offering Special Programs Over Holiday Vacation

Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill is offering special programming for students out of school during the holiday break.

 

Dinosaur State Park is sponsoring a series of programs for families during school holiday vacations later this month.

From Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Sunday, Dec. 30, the park is bringing “The Wild Inside” in a series of special programs during the holiday vacation, according to a release from the Department of Environmental Protection.

The daily events include:

  • Naturalist programs at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., where staff will present a “Track Talk” or animal demonstration.
  • Crafts from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., where visitors will be able to make and take home crafts.
  • Films from 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Dec. 27 at 1 p.m., the park will present the Modern Dragons Show by Riverside Reptiles, which will feature a number of live lizards for a 45-minute show.

The museum is closed on Mondays, and will be closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
