CT Lottery: Winning $254.2 Million Powerball Ticket Still Out There

The lottery says the winning ticket for the state’s largest ever cash prize is out there somewhere.

Quick, check to see if you’re a millionaire.

Seriously.

Although most folks in the state’s main concern at the moment is probably when their power will be restored, the CT Lottery wants to alert Connecticut residents that it did sell a winning ticket for Wednesday’s $254.2 million Powerball jackpot – and that that ticket still remains unclaimed.

That is the largest prize ever won in CT Lottery history…should the ticket be redeemed.

So if you bought a Powerball ticket for the recent drawing you might want to take a moment to check those numbers.

The winning numbers were 12-14-34-39-46 and a Powerball of 36, according to the CT Lottery. Power Play multiplier number is 4. Players have 180 days from the date of drawing to claim a winning ticket, so Wednesday’s ticket will expire on April 30, 2012.

The CT Lottery also encourages all players to sign the back of their tickets to establish ownership.

For information about the CT Lottery, call (860) 713-2700, or visit the CT Lottery web site at ctlottery.org

Overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 35.1, according to the CT Lottery, and the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot prize are 1 in 195,249,054.
