Church Seeks Turkey Donations

Local food drive hopes to receive 100 turkeys to help families in need this holiday season.

The is asking Good Samaritans to bring a frozen turkey and a check for $20 to their "food and fun drive to help end hunger" on Nov. 20.

The event, which benefits Food Share, will be at the from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will be collected at the front and back doors of the church.

Please sign up on the pledge poster in Chapin Hall to help volunteers get an idea of how many turkeys will be donated.

Checks should be made payable to Food Share.

The church's goal is to collect over 100 turkeys and $2,000 in donations.

Anyone who needs help carrying the turkey should call ahead or make arrangements with the church.
