“We are not the ultimate church. We consider ourselves to be one of many members of the corporate Christian Church,” said Pastor Jack Chamis. “Our heart is simply to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not by perfection, but with the compassion of Christ. Our world is desperate to know that they are loved and accepted.”

Chamis taught at Griswold Middle School for seven years and in 2005, he left teaching to pursue a pastoral position in Southington.

“As a Church we desire to exemplify the word Oasis - a refuge in a desert place, to those who come in thirsty,” Chamis said. “We believe God gave us the heart, to bring the love of Christ to Rocky Hill and the surrounding communities.”

According to Chamis, the church “offers an atmosphere of worship and inspiration for those who have a desire to live a Christian life in a contemporary world.”
