Ambulance Association To Discuss Inhalant Abuse

A dinner and discussion will be held Thursday on the growing number of children using materials from the home to get high.

The Rocky Hill Volunteer Ambulance Association will hold a dinner and discussion on inhalants at the Rocky Hill Marriott Thursday from 6-9 p.m.

The program will look to inform people about the increasing number of middle and grammar school children who are using household products to high.

"Inhalant abuse continues to be a matter of concern," the press release stated.

The poison control is expected to be the main speaker at the event. The following people are expected to attend the function.

  • EMS Professionals
  • Health Educators
  • Prevention Specialists
  • Law Enforcement Officers
  • Fire Personnel
  • Custodians
  • Counselors
  • School Nurses
  • School Purchasing Agents
  • Youth Sports Program

The cost of the meal is $15 and people are asked to R.S.V.P. by 3 p.m. People, who plan to attend, can bring a check to the event, but they must R.S.V.P.
