"WHERE'S THE BEEF?"

Change or More of the Same?

After a painfully low turnout at last night's mayoral debate, it's all the more evident that Rocky Hill residents have lost faith in our political system.  While a few key buzz words were tossed around, no real plan of action was offered.  I can't help but think of that old Wendy's commercial:  "where's the beef?"

It's time to take back our town Rocky Hill!  It's time to address the needs of our entire community in a balanced, proactive manner.  How is it that neither party addressed the issue of the 60 West Street nursing home/prison?  Have we swept that under the carpet too?  What about the fact that we're back to square one on the high school renovation project - never even had a signed contract!  Why do leaders continue to allow these matters to slip through their hands?  If we can purportedly afford to fund "any project" we want, then why are we in so much debt and still looking to borrow more?  And why in the world would you tell the voters that if they're not happy with the mill rate "they can move out?"  Unbelievable!

After nearly two decades of Democratic & Republican leadership resulting in unfair tax burdens and economic stagnation, the people of Rocky Hill deserve change.  The choice this Nov. 5th is clear:  change or more of the same.
