Readers' Choice: What's Your Favorite Park?

'Tis the season for getting outside ... where do you like to do it in Rocky Hill?

Flowers are poking through the ground, the grass is getting greener by the minute … spring is definitely in the air!

And now that the weather has gotten (intermittently) warm enough to play outside, which city park or gathering place do you go to enjoy nature's beauty and soak in the rays? Rocky Hill Patch wants to know — in fact, it's the subject of this week's Readers' Choice.

There's a multitude of choices if you want to enjoy the outdoors in Rocky Hill — check some of them out here in our directory and share with us what you like to do there in the comments. If your favorite spot isn't listed, let us know that, too, in the comments, and we'll make sure it's added.

As a reminder, here's how our Readers' Choice feature works:

  • We'll ask a question about your favorites.
  • We invite you to post your nominations in the comments below.
  • We hope you'll also spread the word about this to your friends on Facebook and Twitter and get them involved.

Commenting will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, and we'll announce the winner on Friday afternoon.

This review is all about you — your ideas, your feedback and your voice — so we hope you will chime in and check back.

Please add the up and coming Dividend Pond Trails as a Rocky Hill park! It is gradually becoming a hiking destination for all ages. It's not unusual to see entire families (with a dog in tow) out on one of the trails. Thank you, Sandi Kelly PS - My vote goes to Dividend Pond Trails!

I agree with Sandi completely and would like to extend it into the Bulkley Park area as well.

My favorite park in Rocky Hill is Ferry Park! There so much to do -- watch the boats come and go, take a ferry ride, great food at Mitchells outdoors, biking or walking the meadows, fishing (if you have a permit) and a unique gift shop with reasonable pricing.
