Dance Studio to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

The event will be a fundraiser for the US Dance Club.

 

The is hosting a dance for the St. Patrick's Day holiday to help raise money for the studio.

The St. Patrick's Dance and Fundraiser will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a class, which will be followed by ballroom dancing. There will be performance by first place ballroom competition winners Kathy Pierce and Steve Delin. The event will end at midnight.

Guests are asked to bring green dishes for the buffet and wear green clothing. , who owns and manages the , will be cooking corned beef and cabbage.

"People are going to have a grand time with a lot of food and fun," Seelen said. She added people could come and watch if they do not want to dance.

Adults can buy advance tickets for $10 or pay $15 at the door for the event. Only 250 people will be allowed to attend the event.

Private lessons are being offered seven days a week at the U.S. Dance Club and the first lesson is free. Basic classes, which are available for singles and couples, began on Jan. 24 and are being offered in the following types of dance:

  • Ballet
  • Jazz
  • Salsa
  • Cha Cha
  • Waltz
  • Swing
  • Tap
  • Ballroom (all forms and styles including American, Latin and International)
