Chiu Yen and Leander Vergara of Rocky Hill were recognized as 2012 winners for the artwork that they submitted to the Community Renewal Team National Arts Program at Capital Community College in Hartford.
Leander, who is a seventh grader at the , was awarded third place in the Youth category for his "Man at Bar and Grill" painting.
