Packed House for Polish Customs

Polish culture discussed Tuesday at the library.

Guests filled the Stepney room to see lavish costumes, amber jewelry and an in-depth documentary on the Poland Tuesday night at the Cora J. Belden Library.

Polish Night, the second event in the adult summer reading series, was presented by the Polish Cultural Club of Greater Hartford. The club, which was established in 1978, promotes and preserves the history and customs of Poland.

"We are here to show our culture," Clifford G. Archie, president of The Polish Cultural Club of Greater Hartford, said. "We want to share it with Americans."
