Last Chance: Cora Belden Library Open Mike

The Cora J. Belden Library will be holding an open mike session and poetry reading on Tuesday evening.

 

We all do it. We all forget to mark our calendars for special events in our daily lives. So Patch created a weekly feature that highlights a community deadline that is quickly approaching.  This week, the Last Chance column highlights the poetry reading and book signing with open mike session at the on Tuesday.

The author of "Divided Eye" Katherine Carle will read her poems for about 30 minutes starting at 6:30 p.m.

After Carle's poetry reading, up to 10 people will be allowed to read their own family-friendly poems during an open mike session. Each person can read two short poems. People are asked to come early to sign up.

The event, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Cora J. Belden Library, is free of charge. Anyone interested in participating in the program, should register by calling 860-258-7623 or by visiting the library’s website.
