Free Comic Book Day

CELEBRATE FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!
Saturday, May 5th

Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May each year - when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. These are special comic books created by the various comic book companies specifically for this day.

Heroes & Hitters, a family-run comic book store in Rocky Hill, CT, has actively participated in this wonderful day since its inception in 2002. This fun-filled event was established to bring new readers into the comic book world, invite readers who have been out for a while back into the fold, and to thank current readers for their dedication to this extraordinary art form.

Owners Wayne Horgan and Eileen Albrizio are husband and wife. They opened Heroes & Hitters in 1989 and their loyal customers, many who have been with them for all 23 years, have become their family. Come celebrate Free Comic Book Day with them and enjoy some cake from Mangiafico’s Bakery of Plainville and other delicious treats. Bring the children, your spouse, your grandmother and your friends, as there will be books for everyone!
