Introducing our newest Patch segment titled "Pet of the Week," where we will feature animals from the Connecticut Humane Society in Newington that are in need a new home.
This week, a seven-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix named CoCo is looking for a new place to call her own.
According to the Connecticut Humane Society website, CoCo is a big fan of getting belly rubs and giving kisses. She is looking for a place where she can get lots of exercise, according to Public Relations Director at Connecticut Humane Society Alicia Wright.
CoCo would prefer to live in a home with children above the age of 10, Wright said. She is willing to share her living space with other dogs, but would prefer not to live in a home with cats, Wright added.
If you are interested in CoCo or any of the other animals at the Connecticut Humane Society, log onto its website to see a gallery of all the adoptable pets and to learn about the adoption rules and procedures.
The Connecticut Humane Society is located at 701 Russell Rd. and its phone number is 1-800-452-0114. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
