Photos: Rocky Hill Summerscape Carnival, Cookoff

More than 200 campers enjoyed throwing bean bags, going down a water slide and participating in sack races at the summer time event.

 

The Rocky Hill Park and Recreation Department Summerscape held its annual outdoor carnival and cookout this week. 

The event, which was held on Thursday afternoon, featured the following activities:

  • Sack races
  • Bean bag toss
  • Waterslide
  • Ladder Golf
  • Soccer

Staffers cooked for the campers and provided them with homemade cotton candy.

Summerscape is a day camp sponsored by the Rocky Hill Park and Recreation Department and offers 225 campers a chance to enjoy swimming, archery, arts and crafts and sports.

Next week, the camp will host its signature event, the during its last week operation for the summer. The talent show is on Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. inside the auditorium.
