Dogs were treated to an evening swim Monday at the Elm Ridge Pool as the Parks and Recreation Department held its 12th annual Dog Day.
Every year, dogs are allowed to swim in the pool during the last day of operation. However, no people can swim in the pool while the dogs are in the water.
About 60 dogs went for a swim this year. Last year, about 40 dogs participated in the event.
