Dinosaur State Park Celebrating State Park Day This Weekend

Free admission on Aug. 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Connecticut’s Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill has opened its recently renovated Discovery Room, an interactive classroom that is part of one of five locations on CT Dinosaur Trail.

Featuring hands-on activities and displays, the classroom offers fun in learning for visitors of all ages. Guests are welcome to shuffle through drawers of collected fossils and minerals, listen to various bird calls, or follow the Magnetic Mural timeline.

All items within the classroom were collected throughout the state of Connecticut, making the experience more unique and relatable for young children and their families.

This week would be the perfect time to see the Discovery Room because the park will be celebrating its 17th Annual Dinosaur State Park Day with free admission and lots of fun activities this weekend, August 17th and 18th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
