Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery Hosts its 14th Annual "Recovery Walks!"

The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is hosting Recovery Walks!, their 14th Annual Walk for Recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 10:00AM to 2:00 PM at Bushnell Park in Hartford. The event will host live music by Shaded Soul in addition to exhibits, arts and crafts and food.

This year, Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra, and Patricia Rehmer, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, will be speaking at the event.

This event was created to celebrate and promote recovery from alcohol and their drug addiction and, most importantly, to put a face and voice on recovery.
