Community Care Services, a statewide therapeutic foster care agency, recently completed a project called "Put a Positive Spin on the Life of a Child!"
Working with the Town of Rocky Hill, staff members from the agency placed 1,400 pinwheels in the ground at .
"Each pinwheel represents one child in CT who is waiting to be placed in a foster home. While the number itself is staggering, having a visual representation of the 1,400 children certainly adds another dimension to what we as an agency are trying to accomplish," said Denise A. Demers, LCSW of Community Care Services.
According to staff members, the initial reactions received from the public were very positive.
