5th Annual “Hoof It For Haiti” - 5K Run/Walk to Benefit Haiti
ROCKY HILL - On Saturday, September 22, Saint Elizabeth Seton Church in Rocky Hill invites runners, walkers, wheelchair athletes, and families to the 5th Annual Hoof-it-for-Haiti 5K Run/Walk. Susan Campbell, former columnist of the Hartford Courant will help kick off this 5th annual event at 9:30 A.M. on the church grounds at 280 Brook Street.
Race day registration is from 7:30-9:00 A.M. and costs $25 for adults, $10 for children ten and under. A family fee of $45 covers three or more. Early bird registrants, who sign up online before September 21th, pay just $20 for adults while the other rates remain the same. Individuals and families who raise $100 in pledges are registered for free. All participants pick up commemorative T-shirts and numbers on race day. Refreshments are also available at no charge. Top three finishers in all nine divisions go home with awards.
Funds raised will help feed, educate, shelter and provide medical care for children and adults in the twinning parish of St. Anne’s parish in Saintard, Haiti. This is the twelfth year the Saint Elizabeth Seton community has reached out to assist families in this Caribbean nation. Tax deductible donations are welcomed.
Online registration, registration forms, sponsorships sheets and complete information is available on the parish website, www.sesrockyhill.org or visit www.hoofitforhaiti.org.
