Mark your calendars!&nbsp;&nbsp;"Sharing Our Love of Music"&nbsp;will be presented by&nbsp;THE MIDDLESEX HOSPITAL VOCAL CHORDS (MHVC)&nbsp;on Saturday, May 4th at 7:00pm at Portland High School, 95 High St., Portland.
Join us for a festive evening of music as our 90 voice chorus and 10 piece orchestra proudly perform a variety of musical favorites to enhance this spring season.
Samuel Tucker, our Music Director, has arranged a beautifully eclectic program that highlights the wide-ranging talents of this chorus.&nbsp; Musical pieces include patriotic arrangements, "The Battle Hymn", "An American Trilogy" as well as some newer pieces like "A Million Dreams" and medley from "The Temptations".&nbsp; Old favorites include "When the Saints go Marching In", "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Singing in the Rain".&nbsp;&nbsp;Alan Dougherty, our first-rate accompanist and his 10 piece orchestra will have you tapping your toes and singing along!
Proceeds from the concert are returned to the community in the form of scholarships presented to graduating Middlesex County high school seniors pursuing a career in nursing or music.&nbsp; Thus far, we have awarded $84,500 .&nbsp; We are most grateful to Middlesex Health and to you, our loyal followers for your continued support.&nbsp; Hope you can join us.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The 18 Hole Stroll, part of the 2024 Travelers Championship Birdies for Charity program, is an exciting and heartwarming fundraising walk honoring the lives of those lost to pancreatic cancer and providing hope for all impacted by this devastating disease. In support of the Lustgarten Foundation, the largest private funder of the world’s preeminent pancreatic cancer researchers, we have one collective mission: transform pancreatic cancer into a curable disease!
Join us as we honor loved ones and raise awareness. Registration is free, fundraising and donations are encouraged - Register, Donate, Share.
This stroll was founded by Brittany Vose who lost her father, John Vose, to pancreatic cancer when she was just 5 years old. As the years passed, she felt compelled to spread awareness and support research around this devastating and historically underfunded disease. Since its inception, the 18 Hole Stroll has raised $775,800 in support of the Lustgarten Foundation, with a goal of breaking $1M! 100% of all donations and fundraising fund lifesaving pancreatic cancer research.
Following the Walk, join us for an array of fun activities, including a lively Silent Auction, inspiring speakers, and much more! You can look forward to a morning filled with hope, remembrance, and action! So, whether you're walking in memory of a loved one, supporting a friend, or simply joining us for a fun-filled morning, the 18 Hole Stroll is the perfect way to make a positive impact for those who need it most.
